What does eating food have to do with your brain? BrainFood is a free educational public conversation and cooking demonstration of avocado black fried rice that sheds light on the science involved in one of our most basic everyday behaviors: eating food.

Free and open to the public; registration is recommended via Eventbrite. The event will be live-streamed via Facebook and YouTube.

Free meal ingredient kits are available for anyone to pick up at Mandala Cafe (1st Corinthians Baptist Church, 1912 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd) on August 18, 5-7 PM and the Harlem Grown Community Fridge (134th St, between Adam Clayton Powell Blvd and Lenox Ave) on August 18 and 19, 1-6 PM.

BrainFood is a recipient of a 2021 Center for Science and Society Public Outreach Grant.
